About Us

My husband and I are originally from the N.W. Arkansas area.   We moved from here some 20 years ago and went to the Tampa Bay area of Florida with our 3 children at the time being ages 1, 2, & 3 at the time.  We had our own business in prestress concrete for about 20 years and we raised poodles and Rottweilers as a hobby for many years.
We got tired of the fast lane so to speak and decided we were going to look for some wide open spaces.  So we tried the Colorado Mountains for a while and just could not take the winters after living in the Sunshine State.  So after 2 years there we came back to our roots here in N.W. Arkansas.  We bought 250 acres here in the beautiful Ozark Mountains and I retired to the dogs!!  We have horses and enjoy the country life living close to nature.  We are 5 miles from Devils Den State Park and take many long horse back rides over to the park as well as camping in the horse camp they have available.  We have 4 wheelers as well and we just ride all over God's creation out here....there seems to be no boundries and no end to the wonderful life we enjoy.
120 acres of the land we own belonged to my husbands father when he was a teenager.  They grew up on a  400 acre ranch.  His family moved here when he was 16 from Apache Junction, Arizona where they lived at the foot of the Superstition Mountains.  They owned a "Dude ranch and packed "Dudes" back into the mountains looking for "Gold."
I have raised dogs for many years and decided due to being disabled and having Fibromyalgia I needed something to take my mind off my ailments.  I find that the love of my puppies and finding them wonderful homes is very satisfying, and gives me contentment.  Finding many new friends that love these precious bundles of joy as much as I do.  I hear from most all my new owners regularly keeping me informed of the puppies progress and discussing any problems they may have.   We also recieve up to date pictures of their babies, which I always try to post on my website for others to see.
I still have two daughters that live in Florida and my son lives here in Arkansas with his family.  I love to visit my daughters and enjoy the Florida sun but am always anxious to get back to the cool mountain top we are blessed to live on.  We have wonderful views from here and enjoy Gods majestic creations........Below is an old pic. of Blackburn Farms, much has changed since this was taken and will try to take another soon....
